Job Description
The Pipeline engineer shall be responsible to CEIL for all pipeline field engineering and construction works for one spread at spread camp on the Mangla Development Pipeline Project(MDPL). This shall include review of field engineering for pipeline and crossings including construction activities undertaken by the EPC contractor.The Pipeline engineer(Mechincal/civil) shall:Liaise with the EPC contractor in all matters pertaining to the pipeline and crossing construction works on the spread site.Review and approval of job procedures method statement, QA plan, ITP.Coordination and interaction with EPC and other design/ engineering department in technical discussion and bottel neck for projects.Review the field engineering drawings that is, alingment sheets and crossing drawings to suit at site and coordinate with crossing authorities for necessary inspection.Undertake checks and inspections, acting as the CEIL representative, as indentified in the construction method statements, procedures and inspection and test plans and on a random basis as appropriate, for all pipeline activities.Coordinate with the other CEIL site supervisory, engineering and inspection staff, providing guidence and support to enable thier respective responsibilities to be effectively discharged.Coordinate with the CEIL resident engineer for pipeline activities.Maintain a high level of focus on assurance issues including health and safety , enviornmental and quality issues.Set a good example on all HSE matters through his personal behaviour.Attend meetings, reviews,safety initatives and the like as necessary and revelant to the job function.Depitise for other CEIL staff in thier absence, as applicable.
Desired Profile
10-25 years experience of Site Engineering on Pipeline construction projects.Qualified Engineer with a technical background (Mechanical/ Civil Engineering)
